Growing up in America as a Negro, colored, black and now African-American CITIZEN .... I learned a long time ago that historical records were NEVER a fair and balanced report of the history of humanity. And it probably never will be. That's why western history says Alexander the Great was great! But India's history says he was the boogieman.
Individuals who want to know or learn more "underrated" or "unreported" events have to do some serious digging. Even then, when you think you may have uncovered a truth that a historian omitted, some archaeologist comes long and tells you that's the not whole story or it's not the true story or the historical record was just wrong.
No matter the accuracy or correctness of historical records, all civilizations that maintained any kind of records tell "A STORY" of man's inhumanity to man. Tragic human events all around the world appear on the timeline. These tragedies are definitely a commonality.
