I guess there were clauses in your job contract that you did not read carefully? Or maybe you work in the state of Texas where they don't even need to give a reason for terminating you.

At any rate, I sure hope you have a backup plan. It's not easy to get used to a steady paycheck like that and then “all of a sudden” … BAM! POW!! Like you're in a Batman TV show.

Anyway! I hope you don't suffer from financial hardship because of this firing and that the future has better things in store for you. Sometimes surprising turns in life turn out to be a good thing.

P.S. How long were you writing on Medium and how long did it take for them to notice that you were a writer? Were you keeping it a secret? Because it seems like as soon as you published your first article they could have said something to you. I mean … why wait?
