I remember watching an old movie where the king wanted to get rid of certain people. His woman told him he could not be rid of them because … she said, “You can't kill a faith.”

Perhaps you can't kill a faith. But you can weaken the believers. Another king also wanted to get rid of a people and one of the prophets of that group told him that he couldn't get rid of them. However, he should get the men to intermarry with the foreign women of his kingdom. That could result in the woman weakening the man's resolve to stay faithful. Also, the children of their union would likely be more influenced by the mother and as such would probably be brought up believing in the mother's god. It worked!

It's true that godnapping was and still is common in man's history. Fortunately, the one true God is not a statue made with hands or any other kind of object. He can't be carried off by the enemy. However, He can be plucked from the heart of the believer. But that's only if the believer allows it.

Great article!
