I think in today's world there is no respect for a “marriage for life” bond. I guess I am from a different generation. My father's first wife died. My mom was his second wife. He had children from his marriage to his first wife. That means that my mom was their step-mother. I actually remember when my step-brother and his wife decided to get a divorce. They came and discussed the divorce my mother first to get her approval. Is that not shocking??!! Times have changed.
