I used to work for the federal government. They say that in the government, it takes forever to implement things or make changes, and it's hard to keep secrets. Those are falsehoods. Changes can get implemented fast and as long as nothing hits the fan OR a whistle-blower doesn't come forward OR a situation arises where somebody has to rat on somebody else to save their jobs … changes will go through and secrets will be kept.
Am I cynical? Uuhh … let's just say I don't have very little faith in politicians.
Trump or Harris? Who cares? All I ask is that whoever sits in the oval office – after they've served their 4 to 8 years – PLEASE GO HOME!
PLEASE LEAVE QUIETLY!!! The transition is SUPPOSED TO BE PEACEFUL!!!
This is my beef with Trump. All he had to do was go home, wait 4 years, and run again. What? He couldn't do that? Was there something going on behind closed doors? Did he make promises to certain folks and he needed to be in the White House so that he could keep those promises? WHAT? WHAT? Why couldn't he just go home?
Is it because he's pushing 80 years, and he figured he might DIE? Does he know that there was an American president who gave the longest inauguration speech in history and then DIED?
As for Harris? I wondered why Biden picked her. But seeing the way things have turned out … NOW I KNOW WHY!!
So now the news is RFK Jr. will support Trump. A crazy man who left a dead bear cub in Central Park!!! WHO BLOODY CARES??!!!
Like you, I have also wondered why with 300 million people in America, why can't we find a decent candidate?
I have a theory. I think young politicians start out bright-eyed and idealistic with dreams to change the world or at least make their country the greatest nation on Earth. But then they get caught in the political machinery and their spirit gets crushed. As time passes and their energy is spent, they heave a huge sigh and just …go with the flow. They resign themselves to the fact that: Everybody wants to change the world, but nobody ever does!
