Long time ago it was not uncommon to have 4 generations living under the same roof. I was watching Oprah one time and she had a famous Indian couple on her show. She found out that they lived in the same house with his parents and she asked him ( as if it was a problem): How is that working out for you?

So the guy's response was: “Do you live by yourself? How is that working out for you?”

I totally understood his response.

So you live with your parents. That's not really a problem you know.

(Although, if I'm being totally honest, in my own private life, I could not live with my mother because she disapproved of my marriage. If that had not been the case I could have had that living arrangement because I think she would have enjoyed her grandkids.)
