I am watching a Korean drama about divorce attorneys: one experienced attorney and one rookie attorney. The experienced attorney settled the divorce where the husband got custody of the kids. The rookie attorney was upset! The experienced attorney told her that the custody was “on paper”. The mother still had visiting rights. In real life, as they grow, the kids will probably prefer to spend more time with their mother. The father was just making demands because he was “power tripping”. He wanted to show his wife that since he had the money he could have it his way. Not because he really wanted custody of the kids. She could predict what will likely happen in that relationship because she had already seen it happen before.

That's one of those things that make you go “Hhhmmm?”
