We always like to teach kids the Bible story of Jonah because of the big fish. It's good to plant that story in their minds even though they may not know its practical application at such a young age. Take me, for example, when I got older I understood the two life lessons in the book of Jonah: Repentance and Redemption.

As long as you're living, you can choose to repent and God will redeem you. Jonah didn't want to preach to the people of Nineveh because he was afraid they would repent!

As an insignificant human, you don't get to decide who can or should repent and who God can or should redeem.

ALL humans can repent.

ONLY God can redeem them.
