Your article brought in a flood of memories for me.

When I was in high school they offered a typing class. I told my friend I would not take the class because I never intended to be a secretary. Why do I need to know how to type? My friend said: "One day you'll regret that you didn't learn how to type."

What? Was my friend a prophet? Typing is a valuable skill. I regretted not taking the class. Once I had kids I thought to advise them to learn how to type. But there was no need. Evidently, they found a free program on the Internet and taught themselves how to type. They also taught themselves how to swim and ride a bike.

Three (3) skills that to this day I do not have. LOL. I truly admire people who can teach themselves.

Aahh ... memories. LOL.
